Floral Headband

My friend is having a Luau themed birthday party. So what do I do? I look up how to dress for Luau themed party. The one thing that caught my eye was the floral headbands, so I decided to make my own since it’s probably cheaper and more fun that way. I went to Jo-ann fabrics to get the items I needed.

Here is what you’ll need for this DIY:

  • Fake flower bunches
  • Elastic
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

Start by removing the flowers from their stems.

Cut the extra stem off. This will make the flower flat and easy to glue on to the elastic.

Once you have all the flowers removed from the stems and the extra tips cut off, measure your head with the elastic. Make it snug around your head but don’t stretch it too much. Cut the excess elastic off.

Glue the ends together with hot glue gun, overlapping by about 1/2 inch.

Start gluing the flowers to the elastic. I wanted a pink and white floral headband so I alternated between pink and white flowers. I ran out of big flowers so I decided to cover the back of the headband with little white flowers instead.

Here is what the end result looks like:

It is super easy to make, and cheap (especially if you already have some of the items). I will be making a lot of these for our daughter Jayda.
